Ykiki Footwear was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2002.
Ykiki Footwear is a brand with one vision - providing cool Danish designed sandals to the World. The Ykiki sandals are basic EVA surf sandals (Unisex, mens and girls), with a range of unique image prints, on the footbed of each individual model. Our design and production technology set new standards for basic sandals. Unique designs, exceptional features and coolness beyond meassure, gives us an advantage to battle the competitors. Ykiki Footwear will be sold in more than 12 countries in 2007. Key territories: USA, Japan, Southern Europe and Scandinavia.
When the first collection came out, the main idea was to spice up the walls in the shops all over the World. At that time almost all sandals were black, so when You looked at the wall, there was no sandals that catched Your eyes. Simply by using unique prints and colors, Ykiki sandals was some of the first products You looked at when entering the store. Further, the shops used Ykiki sandals as decoration in shop windows.
The last 2-3 seasons our competitors has started to produce printed sandals, so we´re sure we´re on the right track. However, we feel we have the advantage in the unique colors and prints.
